Vyxl absolutely loves the logo for the 2018 WCC.
Well it’s not particularly for the overall form -a rather over-complicated illustration of 2 intertwined players and a (gasp!) non-standard 6×6 grid chessboard, but the impact and shock of this possibly karma-sutra-esque logo.
If you recall the London 2012 Olympics logo, and the furore and disbelief from the general public over that, well this is in roughly the same ballpark. Or should that be conference hall?
However, this may NOT be the master logo – the rather Picasso-esque and far less controversial quad-armed logo shown below is used more predominantly on official media:
In Vyxl’s opinion, the impact created by Shuka Designs’ admirable results will be a huge boost to the visibility and popularity of World Chess. Great work!
